1976 Season Notes & Press Clippings
- Dave belted three homers and set Mets' club record with 8 RBI's as New Yorkers mauled Dodgers, 11-0 at Los Angeles, June 4, 1976. Paul Olden, a stringer for Associated Press Radio and currently a radio announcer for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, asked Dodgers' Manager Tommy Lasorda "What is your opinion of Kingman's performance?" - Had 30 home runs before the All-Star break--the 8th player to accomplish this feat (Maris '61, Killebrew '64, Howard '69, R. Jackson '69, McCovey '69, Stargelll '71, '73, Schmidt '76).
- Was named to National League All-Star team for the first time in his career. He went 0-for-2 with a strikeout.
