![]() ![]() ![]() - After Dave Kingman hit a controversial foul ball on the technical ring of Montreal's Olympic Stadium, an orange line was painted on the ring, which surrounds the stadium on the inside of the roof. Since then, only Darryl Strawberrry hit the technical ring with a ball that was ruled fair, and therefore a home run, because of the orange line. (I think this might have happened in 1978, E-Mail me if you know better) - Dave blasted three homers and a single with 8 RBI's as Cubs defeated Dodgers, 10-7 in 15-innings, May 14, 1978. - Spent nearly a month on the disabled list. ![]() ![]() ![]()
